Howdy, happy Thursday and welcome to this week’s Channel Partner Program Roundup, our weekly cattle drive of channel partner news and information. This week we’ve got information from DLT Solutions, AVG Technologies (NYSE: AVG) and CDW, so settle in, there’s work to be done.

DLT Solutions: The government VAR has expanded its DLT Professional Services with the addition of subject matter experts and professional engineering staff specializing in Oracle core technology, e-business suite, identity management and value-added applications.

To drive the success of the expanded DLT Professional Services division and identify new ways to provide increased value, Don Simpson has joined DLT as vice president of Professional Services. Formerly CIO of the U.S. Department of Transportation, Research and Innovative Technology Administration, Simpson brings more than 15 years of experience in corporate IT and consulting in the aerospace, telecommunications, defense and high technology industries as well as a keen understanding of the real-life challenges within the community of federal government CIOs.

AVG Technologies: The Internet and mobile security noted more than 1,000 partners have signed on to resell its AVG CloudCare small-business IT management platform, which manages “tens of thousands of small-business endpoints across the United Kingdom and North America,” according to the company.

AVG CloudCare provides small-business resellers and MSPs with a free-of-charge, easy-to-use cloud-based administrative platform. The tools within AVG CloudCare allow them to remotely deploy and manage AVG’s award-winning anti-virus and content filtering via a single console at prices small businesses can easily afford, the company said.

CDW: The solution provider and so much more has been designated a FlexPod Premium Partner by Cisco Systems (NASDAQ: CSCO) and NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) to provide solutions and services supporting the FlexPod data center solution. As a FlexPod Premium Partner, CDW is recognized for its advanced competencies in supporting customers as a trusted adviser in deploying FlexPod solutions, according to the company.

FlexPod is a pre-tested and validated solution that combines networking, computing and storage in a shared infrastructure and supports multiple applications and workloads to help customers accelerate and simplify their transition to the cloud.

As a FlexPod Premium Partner, CDW can implement and configure virtualized data center solutions based on the validated FlexPod shared infrastructure, as well as help customers develop and adhere to best practices for building and managing best-in-class solutions from Cisco and NetApp.

And that’s this week’s roundup. Mosey on back next week to see what’s happening. Until then, happy trails to you.
