So here’s the break down:
- Net sales increased 28.5% to $4.76 billion
- Avnet enjoyed a better than expected demand for IT products under Avnet Technology Solutions, where sales exceeded expectations for Q3 2010, and jumped 16.6% from Q3 2009. ATS saw very strong growth in the server and storage markets.
- Q3 is the second consecutive quarter in which Avnet has enjoyed year-over-year double digit growth.
Separately, Cisco CEO John Chambers noted that 75% of world economies were in recession at this time last year. Fast forward to the present, and only 5% of world economies are in recession. Chambers made the statement on April 29 at Cisco Partner Summit in San Francisco.
