Xerox Said in Talks to Acquire, Then Split R.R. Donnelley

Xerox Corp., which plans to separate into two companies by the end of the year, is in talks to acquire R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co., people with knowledge of the matter said.

Xerox would acquire R.R. Donnelley, founded in 1864 and based in Chicago, and merge some of it with its copier, printer and related-services business and the rest with its smaller business process outsourcing services, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the negotiations are private.

Security Central: Hard Rock Gets Hacked, Office 365 Corporate Users Get Hit with Zero-day Ransomware Virus

All was not rock and roll at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas on Monday. The resort said in a statement that it had been the target of a system hack via card-scraping malware that left sensitive customer payment card information vulnerable and accessible. The breach was discovered when Hard Rock received reports of fraudulent activity on the cards, but the catch came about five months too late.

Bangladesh Bank Heist Probe Said to Find Three Groups of Hackers

Investigators examining the theft of $81 million from Bangladesh’s central bank have uncovered evidence of three hacking groups — including two nation states — inside the bank’s network but say it was the third, unidentified group that pulled off the heist, according to two people briefed on the progress of the bank’s internal investigation.
