Channel NX2Z: More Young Partners Needed to Carry the Torch
Sometime in the year 2020, one-half of the American workforce will consist of millennials, defined as people born between 1981 and 1996.
So far, the telecom-IT channel is lagging behind in that number — and that could be a problem for the industry’s vitality in the years to come.
That’s a big reason why Channel NX2Z, the nonprofit organization that’s bridging the gap between generations in the channel, was formed nearly two years ago. The group that’s educating, mentoring and spotlighting the channel’s next generation held a successful “Millennial Meetup” at the recent Channel Partners Conference & Expo.
Our cameras were there to hear Channel NX2Z representatives explain the channel in their own words, describe the growth of millennials in the channel and what the next generation of indirect salespeople is bringing to the industry.
