Ingram Micro VTN: Four Questions I’ll Be Asking

So The VAR Guy is otherwise engaged trying to get some face time with Eva Longoria, so I’ve made my way to Boston for Ingram Micro’s VentureTech Network (VTN) Fall Invitational. It promises to be a few days packed with confabs between the distributor, vendors and their channel partners, as well as some announcements from Ingram Micro regarding its programs for its partner customers.

So as I settle in to ready myself for the event, here are four questions I’ll be asking the folks from Ingram Micro:

1. What’s going on with the cloud? Ingram Micro held its Cloud Summit in June, and attendees were pumped over the opportunities that seem to be growing exponentially in the channel with cloud services. Three months later, what is Ingram Micro seeing among its partner customers?

2. What’s up with the Mastermind groups? And is Ingram Micro planning on expanding the peer groups beyond the business owners?

3. Jennifer Anaya, what’s up? You’ve been back at Ingram Micro for about six months, so give us an update on what you’ve been doing and what partners can expect from your group.

4. BrightPoint a bright spot? Mobility is hot hot, we all know that, so what is Ingram Micro doing with its BrightPoint acquisition and how will it impact partners?

To be sure, I’ll be wearing my comfortable shoes for the event, which promises to be host to some interesting news. I’ll even try my hand at some live blogging. (We’ll see how that works out.) Meanwhile, if there’s something you want me to ask, just let me know in the comments below.
