Distribution Watch: Jenne Inc., Avnet, Ingram Micro

Happy Thursday, and thanks for stopping by for this week’s batch of distribution-centric news! We’ve got the latest info from our friends at Jenne, Inc., Avnet (AVT) and Ingram Micro (IM) hot off the presses.

Jenne: Westinghouse Security has named Jenne, Inc. as a distribution partner for its commercial security products in the United States, the company announced this week.

Beginning immediately, Jenne partners can now sell Westinghouse Security’s complete line of security products, according to the announcement.

“Making Jenne part of our distribution team is a powerful strategic move,” said J. Brian Moses, chief sales officer for Westinghouse Security, in a statement. “Working with Jenne’s professional organization will enable us to reach customers quickly and efficiently with the solid knowledge that customer service is foremost.”

Avnet: Avnet’s North American resellers can now sell off-premise, co-located data center model solutions from CenturyLink and IO, the distributor announced on Tuesday. The solutions are designed to help resellers meet their customers’ offsite data center and infrastructure co-location needs, such as data center expansions, redundancy support and migrations.

Avnet partners can choose to utilize either a referral model or a resale model for the new solutions, according to the company. The distributor said it will also help partners to begin selling the solutions via its customized hybrid data center solution offerings.

“Our new co-location solutions combined with the strength of Avnet’s cloud and hybrid data center services will help partners quickly solve for common customer challenges in the cloud, including cost, performance and security,” said Tim FitzGerald, vice president of Avnet’s Cloud Solutions business in the Americas. “This is another great example of how Avnet continues to innovate its cloud solutions that span the entire hybrid data center solutions stack, including design, integration, delivery, implementation, migration and disposal.”

Ingram Micro: Dell Software is the latest company to join Ingram Micro’s Federal Advantage Program, the company announced this week. Beginning immediately, Dell’s products have been added to Ingram Micro’s General Services Administration schedule under the distributor’s Promark Technology brand.

Dell channel partners in the United States will also have access to Ingram Micro’s team of sales, marketing and engineering specialists through the partnership, according to the announcement. Ingram Micro program managers and solutions engineers are also available to assist Dell partners. Dell partners in the United States can utilize Ingram Micro’s Solution Center, Configuration Center and Professional Services and Training Academy as well.

“We have a great working relationship with Dell that’s built on respect, relationships and results,” said Kirk Robinson, senior vice president, Ingram Micro Commercial and Vertical Markets. “In 2016, we will help our Dell channel partners ‘land and expand’ more business opportunities with Dell and its ecosystem-vendors across a variety of verticals including the Public Sector.”

Thanks for reading everyone. We hope to see you back here next week for even more great distribution-centric news. Until then, keep on distributing
