Savvis Launches Global Cloud Services Partner Program

Savvis Launches Global Cloud Services Partner Program

Savvis -- a cloud infrastructure vendor, hosted IT solution provider, and  Talkin' Cloud Stock Index member -- has announced the Savvis Alliances Program. The problem will enable MSPs and cloud integrators across the globe to resell Savvis public and private cloud solutions to their customers. In addition to the Savvis Symphony cloud infrastructure platform, newly-minted Savvis channel partners can add colocation, managed hosting, colocation, network services and managed security services to their portfolios.

Overall, the Savvis Alliances Program seems like a traditional partner play: service providers can sign up under the Strategic, Preferred or Affiliate partnership tiers, according to their investment and demonstrated ability to close deals, according to the press release. And MSPs can choose whether to resell directly to customers or merely refer them back to Savvis.

Savvis is claiming that "several" companies have joined the program at launch, though specifics aren't available on exactly how much channel support they have at this early stage. All the same, no less than Cisco Systems has expressed support for the new program.
