The combined solution, which is simply called Bitdefender Security for Labtech, allows MSPs to manage all of their antivirus and antimalware security tasks through the LabTech console, according to the announcement. Bitdefender said the solution effectively operates as a one-stop shop for security admins who would normally have to deal with multiple systems to keep customer information safe.
Bitdefender has also signed on to participate in ConnectWise’s upcoming Invent vendor program.
The company said its partnership with ConnectWise is the latest effort to integrate with fellow MSPs. Bitdefender has previously partnered with companies including Kaseya, N-Able, Naverisk and MaxFocus.
“In recent years, Bitdefender has pushed heavily into the MSP market and has picked up strong momentum due to its expansive offering and extremely high quality security” said Jose Lopez, Bitdefender director of sales for service providers, in a statement. “Now, users of LabTech can take advantage of Bitdefender’s industry leading security, ease of use and versatility.”
The topic of RMM has been prevalent in the MSP community in the last month, especially after Kaseya announced earlier this week that it had acquired Vorex, a specialist in professional services automation and project management. Additionally, RMM vendors are estimated to play a large role in the growth of the Internet of Things, in addition to the myriad of challenges that the IoT will present to these companies as well.
