Technology services distributor Intelisys Communications has added Chris Oppold to its team of regional channel managers.

Denver-based Oppold is senior manager, strategic development for the Mountain region, working with Intelisys sales partners in Colorado, Idaho, Utah, Montana, New Mexico and Wyoming.

A 13-year industry veteran, he has worked as a channel manager for more than 11 years, with a strong focus on cloud-based services. He came to Intelisys from Integra, where he served as a regional manager; he has also held channel-facing roles with CenturyLink and Zayo.

“Being in the carrier space, I always had one answer, regardless of the question,” said Oppold. “By joining the Intelisys team, this changes entirely. I am most excited about being in a space now where, as a channel manager, I can help illuminate my sales partners’ businesses. With access to the Intelisys Supplier Portfolio, we can sit down, listen to their customers’ needs and recommend solutions … that work for each individual customer’s needs.”

Oppold reports to Chad Arnold, director, partner sales for the Northwest/Mountain Region.

“We’re seeing tremendous growth in the Mountain Region, and Chris was the ideal person to take on the unique opportunities and challenges our sales partners in that area face,” said Arnold. He is a long-time resident of Denver, and knows the region extensively. His knowledge of cloud-based services is exceptional, and we are all looking forward to seeing how he can help move the needle for our valued sales partners in the Mountain Region. Chris came to us as a direct recommendation from one of our long-standing supplier partners, and we knew he’d be a great fit from the beginning.”
