Seven Managed Services Blog Entries We Didn't Write: April 16

Welcome to an abridged weekend. After a short stop at home, the MSPmentor team resumes its April travel today. But before climbing aboard our latest flight, here are seven managed services blog entries MSPmentor didn't have time to write for the week ending April 16, 2010.

7. Finding the Masters: We hear Cisco Systems hopes to put the spotlight on Master MSPs over the next few weeks. The idea is to help smaller VARs and solutions providers to leverage services from Cisco's top MSPs. MSPmentor expects to share some more details later this month.

6. McAfee and MX Logic Moves: McAfee is set to activate its new partner program the first week of May. The effort will include coordinated channel efforts with MX Logic partners. McAfee acquired MX Logic in July 2009. Still skeptical about McAfee's channel commitment? Alex Thurber, senior VP of worldwide channel operations at McAfee, was a long-term Cisco channel veteran.

5. Fit for Print?: North America represented more than 50 percent of the global managed print services market in 2008, and the North American MPS market continues to grow 27 percent annually, according to Photizo Group, an organization that will host the next MPS conference May 3-5 in San Antonio, Texas.

4. Three's Company: CoreConnex says all three of the major PSA platforms (Autotask, ConnectWise and Tigerpaw) now plug into the Corelytics Financial Dashboard.

3. Making Moves In Australia: Naverisk Ltd, the Australian-based provider of Remote Management and Monitoring (RMM) automation software, has launched the public availability of Naverisk Version 3.0 Beta.

2. HP Embracing Managed Services: HP is joining Level Platforms on a multi-city managed services roadshow. We'll have more details soon.
