Sars is an entrepreneur who has built BackupAgent into a leading cloud backup software vendor that serves more than 300 telcos, service providers and hosting companies in over 35 countries. Under Sars' leadership, BackupAgent has become one of the fastest growing companies in EMEA, resulting on the 8th position on Deloitte Fast 50 2010.


David Schafran, Managing Partner, Cogent Growth Partners
Schafran has built Cogent Growth Partners into one of the leading consulting firms focused on MSP merger and acquisition activity. Instead of pursuing every M&A opportunity, Schafran positioned Cogent to assist buy-side MSPs on deals that truly deliver strategic value. Cogent also assists the M&A integration process post-acquisition.

Mark Scott, President, The Utility Company Ltd.
As a serial entrepreneur, Scott has launched three successful businesses over the past 15 years focused on B2B services to the small and medium-sized business market. From 2000 to early 2006, Scott was President, CEO and co-founder of N-able Technologies. More recently, he has positioned The Utility Company as a virtual IT service provider for the SMB market.

Scott Scrogin, President, HTG Peer Groups
Scrogin oversees day-to-day operations of HTG Peer Groups and has been instrumental in the implementation of the HTG 1-4-250 strategy announced in mid-2010. This includes new member recruiting and onboarding, managing member group levels and movement, including the recent formation of the peer group targeted to meet the needs of larger solution providers. HTG's continued international expansion has also been spearheaded by Scrogin. HTG Peer Groups is a networking and business performance organization for VARs and MSPs.



Alex Sefanov, President and CEO, BioPharm Systems
Sefanov increased BioPharm's revenue from $5.9 million in 2007 to $8.4 million 2010, doubled the number of hosted end-users in 2010, and ranked in the top 20% of employers nationally in terms of its programs, policies, and culture for creating an effective and flexible workplace in 2010 (Alfred P. Sloan Award). In addition, BioPharn landed on the Inc. 5000 and Silicon Valley Business Journal lists of the fastest-growing private companies for 2010.

Dave Seibert, Founder & CIO, IT Innovators
Having served the southern California market for more than 15 years, Seibert has his customer base to 90 percent managed services clients. Siebert also an industry leader and helped found or grow several IT Partner organizations. He is on the Board or Advisory Council for several organizations including Level Platforms, Trend Micro, Microsoft SBSC Partner Advisory Council and is a Microsoft SMB Partner Area Lead.

Stuart Selbst, President, Stuart Selbst Consulting
Instead of focusing on larger solutions providers, Selbst has developed a successful coaching niche serving small VARs and MSPs  that typically have less than $1 million in recurring annual revenues.

Brian Shepard, Founder & CEO, Tenzing Managed IT Services
Shepard is a consummate entrepreneur. Starting the home-based web hosting business independently in 1998, Shepard has successfully grown the company by over 600% between 2005 and 2010 alone from $1.5 million to $11.7 million. Shepard now leads a company of 90+ customer-focused employees providing managed hosting services for enterprise-class software-as-a-service (SaaS) and Ecommerce applications.

MJ Shoer, President, Jenaly Technology Group, Inc.
Shoer has built one of the most successful small MSPs in the country. He has grown the business 15 to 20 percent year over year on a consistant basis. In addition, Shoer gives selflessly of his time, energy and expertise, to help others grow their own businesses through his extensive activity with CompTIA, The ASCII Group, the Nor'Easters ConnectWise User Group and Technology Marketing Toolkit.

Jeff Shreeve, President & CEO, StorageCraft
Shreeve has built StorageCraft into one of the MSP industry's best-known providers of backup and data protection software. He previously was president of Advanced Geometrics, a geophysical research company; VP of Megalogics, Inc., and CEO of DataCatchers, Inc., both developers of job costing systems.

Matt Sidman, President, ArgusBCS
Sidman has been talking MSP concepts since 2004, way ahead of the curve. Internally, he has been developing engagement-level pricing, moving beyond the per-user and per-device pricing model He founded his organization based on a Virtual CIO service offering, a concept he developed while working at Accenture in the 1990s.

Andrew Sieja, CEO, kCura Corp.
Sieja has built a company whose channel of service providers now support more than 40,000 monthly active users. While kCura serves as an MSP for direct clients, this channel still accounts for the largest global partner network in e-discovery with more than 100, nearly 40 coming aboard over the past year. MSPs also offer kCura's software, while kCura provides their MSPs the same level of intimate technical and sales support that they provide for direct clients.

George Sierchio, The Consultant's Coach, Action Business Partners Inc.
Sierchio recently wrote a Second Edition book called "B.Y.O.B.: Build Your Own Business, Don't Be Your Own Boss" and has also published "Consulting & Service Business Blueprint" for those wanting a self study course. He's a frequent speaker at events hosted by MSP University, SMB Nation and CompTIA.

Doug Sikora, Director of Software Development, Tigerpaw Software
Sikora is a recent addition to the Tigerpaw team, leading software development while also gathing feedback from the Tigerpaw user community.

Ben Silliman, CEO, Altuscio Networks
Silliman has grown his MSP company from $950,000 to $2.4 million over the last 24 months with only 2% in customer turn over.

Michael Simon, CEO, LogMeIn
Simon has built LogMeIn into one of the leading providers of cloud-based remote access, IT support and collaboration software. Q2 2011 revenues were $29.1 million, up 24 percent from Q2 2010.

Corey Simpson, MSP Partners Community Manager, CompTIA
Simpson is one of the key people helping CompTIA to build the associations managed services community, which includes the CompTIA MSP Partners Trustmark -- a designation to help top MSPs stand out from the crowd.

Greg Smith, President & CEO, Accudata Technologies
Smith is an expert on mobile, wireless and VoIP communications. He was one of the first pundits to suggest the power of mobile caller ID service for smartphones. His company has since built an application that's compatible with every major smartphone operating system on more than 225 devices as well as more than 30 international network carriers.

Dave Sobel, CEO, Evolve Technologies
Sobel has built Evolve into a leading MSP in the Washington, DC, Metro Area. The company has achieved 15 percent profitability and a projected 30 percent growth for 2011. Sobel is a well-known expert on virtualization, and a cloud educator for CompTIA. He works closely with Heartland Technology Group and ChannelInsider. And he's penned a book called "Virtualization Defined: A Primer for the SMB Consultant."

Arlin Sorensen, CEO & Founder, HTG Peer Groups
Sorensen continues to lead the evolution of HTG Peer Groups to meet the needs of the current HTG members, vendors and the industry. In 2010-2011, HTG expanded to create a peer group for vendors, a new peer group for larger solution providers and launched Hands That Give. Hands That Give is the IT industry's first emergency response fund for solution providers and was called into action within less than a month of the rollout with the devastating tornado that ripped through Joplin, MO.

Lenin Srinivasan, Manager - Product Marketing, Vembu Technologies Inc.
Srinivasan helps more than 2,500 channel partners to develop business and pricing plans for Vembu's storage solutions. He conducts regular free webinars for the channel partner base basically to help them price their Managed Services and working on re-drafting the Partner Program of Vembu so as to help MSPs in succeeding in their business.

Melissa Staehle, Senior Account Manager, Ancero LLC
Staehle has been one of the largest contributors to Ancero's growth during the past three years. Even during the ongoing economic slump, Ancero's sales revenue has grown more than 30% for each of the past two years, with Melissa earning the distinction as the top sales representative in the company. Her comprehensive understanding of the MSP and cloud space has made her the go-to person for developing, selling and project managing complex solutions.

Chris Sterbenc, VP of Sales, Axcient Inc.
Sterbenc has more than 20 years of channel experience and has mentored hundreds of MSPs, imparting key business and sales techniques and best practices to increase the profitability and growth of MSPs and their SMB clients. Sterbenc most recently created and launched the highly successful Axcient MSP Partner Program, onboarding more than 600 MSPs in the program's first 18 months. Axcient claims to be one of the fastest-growing private technology companies in the U.S.

Edward Stringfellow, IV, President & CEO, Stringfellow Technology Group Inc.
Stringfellow has continued to grow his MSP business more than 30% annually. His focus on building world-class processes and dedicated Service Desk has resulting in him becoming a resource to other MSPs for guidance and advice, which he freely gives.

Mikkel Svane, Co-founder and CEO, Zendesk
Svane took a Danish start-up and has grown the now U.S.-based company to more than 10,000 help desk customers across 100 countries. Businesses of all sizes, such as Adobe, MSNBC, Sony, OpenTable and Groupon, trust Zendesk to deliver customer support across web, phone, email, social media or online chat. In 2010, Zendesk reported year-over-year revenue growth of more than 300 percent.
