Egenera Launches Partner Network For Converged Infrastructure

With all the buzz about the cloud, some people might forget about cloud technology's cousin, converged infrastructure. Consolidation, automation and virtualization of I/O resources in the data center is key to a lot of things, and Egenera -- which specializes in those tasks -- is launching a new Partner Network Program designed to bring its converged infrastructure management offerings deeper into the channel. Here are the details:

Egenera is promising better access and benefits to partners and cost savings to customers -- not an uncommon theme with many vendors. So what is Egenera offering specifically to its partners in the U.S. and EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa)? Along with Egenera's converged infrastructure management product, PAN Manager, partners will have access to tools for helping them increase their margins, plus training on PAN and sales support for what Egenera terms the "explosive" converged infrastructure unified computing market. The Egenera Partner Network also will provide guidelines to help channel partners deploy converged infrastructure architectures more easily.

The Egenera Partner Network is open to VARs and system integrators, and the company is encouraging partners with existing SAN storage and network skills to join up and earn tiered levels of technical sales and training certification.
