Ingram Micro: The global distributor has been recognized by Microsoft with a Transaction-Level Operational Excellence Award in honor of its support for Microsoft technology. The award was announced by Microsoft and recognizes Ingram Micro's U.S. Microsoft business unit for delivering superior results across three distinct categories: Valid Agreements, Valid Orders and Adjustments.

Partners achieving this award out-performed their competitors in the North American channel, comprised of more than 30 candidates. Ingram Micro was recognized for superior operational excellence, meeting or exceeding specific requirements for the number of valid agreements in a variety of categories, as well as the number of on-time and valid order submissions and revenue reconciliation.

"Together with Microsoft, we've maximized the market growth opportunity for our mutual channel partners over the past year across several categories including cloud, electronic service delivery, point of sale activation, Office 365 and other business segments," said Jodi Honore, executive director, Vendor Management at Ingram Micro U.S. "We are pleased to be recognized by Microsoft for our execution and operational excellence in selling and supporting its Open Business, Open Value license, Open Office 365, Campus and School, ISV Royalty and SPLA product lines."

Tech Data: The global distributor plans to host its sixth Channel Link Partner Conference Sept. 17-19 at the Anaheim Marriott Hotel in Anaheim, Calif. The annual event provides IT resellers with business development opportunities in the channel. With its theme, "Bringing You Together. Better," Channel Link provides networking opportunities, offering solution providers a chance to build relationships with top industry vendors.

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak will deliver Channel Link's keynote address, while actor/comedian Jason Alexander, best known for his role as George Costanza on the hit television show Seinfeld, will provide entertainment.

Channel Link will address key focus areas to help solution providers grow their businesses, including cloud, consumer technology, digital signage, healthcare IT, mobility and SMB.

And that’s this week’s Distribution Watch. Tune in next week to see what’s going on. Until then, stay safe.
