LogicNow has introduced per-device pricing for both servers and workstations for its MAX Backup backup and disaster recovery (BDR) solution. The change enables MSPs to know their margins when quoting new business, the company said.

LogicNow General Manager Alistair Forbes told MSPmentor that his company has made substantial investments in MAX Backup to ensure it offers a full DRaaS platform to MSPs.

He said LogicNow plans to expand its MAX Backup capabilities “to deliver best-in-class business protection services in a flexible and cost-effective solution that requires no specialized hardware or long-term contracts.”

More than 4,500 IT service providers currently use MAX Backup, the company said, and it expects the new pricing structure to help LogicNow grow its BDR business tenfold in the next two years.

The company said MAX Backup also will offer a flexible charging model based on data usage for customers backing up less data who may not require a per-device pricing structure.

A free 30-day trial of MAX Backup is available for download here, and MSPs can request a tailored, per-device proposal from LogicNow here.
