Deloitte Launches AWS Cloud Practice with SAP Focus

Deloitte announced this week that it has formed an AWS cloud practice with 2,500 practitioners around the world, with the aim to help clients in their journey to cloud adoption.

Through the new practice, Deloitte will deliver enterprise applications such as SAP, analytics, and front and back-office systems. The consulting firm said that the relationship with AWS will help businesses achieve the benefits of the AWS Cloud and tap into its own knowledge reaching more than 20 industries.

“A key focus of our AWS collaboration is to accelerate clients’ digital core transformation through SAP S/4HANA to modernize their ERP technology and de-risk cloud migrations,” Deloitte Consulting national managing principal, technology, craig Hodgetts said. “Equally important is the ability to help clients lead with analytics to deliver insight based outcomes so we are also invested in building over 20 pre-configured industry-specific analytics solutions powered by SAP HANA and AWS. We plan to provide companies with a strong digital core foundation built on the AWS Cloud that can scale with flexibility, enabling faster-time-to-value and the ability to instantly act on information and make better decisions across the enterprise.”

Deloitte says that the joint partnership will help clients gain insights through industry-specific, pre-configured analytical solutions built by Deloitte and powered by SAP HANA and AWS.

The partnership comes as Deloitte has been building out its technology practice with acquisitions, and several months after Deloitte acquired Australian integrator Sixtree, who specializations include AWS.
