Rackspace has introduced "fanatical support" for Amazon Web Services (AWS) and will provide tools, expertise, application management and operational support to customers on the AWS Cloud. In addition, Rackspace has announced three beta offerings — Managed Security for AWS, Compliance Assistance for AWS and Managed Cloud for Adobe Experience Manager (which runs on AWS).
Asigra has announced the beta availability of Asigra AWS EBS Snapshot Manager, which enables service providers to create a snapshot schedule through a graphical user interface (GUI) that automates taking snapshots of one or more AWS EC2 instances. "It is difficult to perform and manage snapshots of virtual machines in an Amazon environment," Asigra Executive Vice President Eran Farajun said. "The free Asigra AWS EBS Snapshot Manager solves these problems while eliminating the need for companies to rely on backup or disaster recovery point solutions to ensure recovery.”
Barracuda has unveiled Barracuda Web Application Firewall on AWS GovCloud (US). The company said its new release can help AWS GovCloud (US) users protect their mission critical workloads.
Cloudnexa has launched its White Label Managed Service Program. The managed cloud provider noted that its new program allows AWS Partner Network (APN) members "to immediately expand their business models and offer managed services to their customers."
Cloudyn has added "SmartSizing" and hybrid cloud management capabilities to its cloud monitoring and optimization platform. The company said enterprises can now "streamline their multi-cloud deployments for growth while SmartSizing their cloud resources for maximum control and operational performance."
