Lumeta said AWS subscribers now can use ESI "to gain real-time network situational awareness of both AWS cloud instances and on-premises physical or virtual infrastructure."
The company also has launched Amazon Machine Image (AMI) for Lumeta ESI for enterprise and government customers.
A Lumeta spokesperson told Talkin' Cloud joining the AWS Marketplace will allow her company to better support IT security and network operations teams.
"[These teams] are responsible for the network, even in the cloud, so making Lumeta available on the AWS Marketplace makes it that much easier to get the job done -- to get a handle on understanding their entire network," she said.
Lumeta Chief Product Officer Reggie Best pointed out the availability of ESI via the AWS Marketplace will provide his company's customers with greater cloud visibility.
"The availability of Lumeta ESI on AWS Marketplace makes it easy for customers to have complete visibility into their virtual cloud deployments, their on-premises infrastructure and their network edge," Best said in a prepared statement. "IT can scan their AWS cloud, their traditional enterprise and their Internet-facing presence for a comprehensive view of the network."
Lumeta ESI version 2.1.1 is now available via the AWS Marketplace as a bring-your-own-license (BYOL) offering.
How does ESI work?
ESI provides real-time network surveillance and detects any security changes, according to Lumeta.
The solution gives Lumeta customers "a comprehensive view of all IP connections and devices on their network, including those previously unknown."
IT professionals can leverage ESI AMI within AWS to:
- Access real-time cloud insights
- Continuously monitor their networks
- Get greater visibility into their companies
A Lumeta spokesperson pointed out her company anticipates a major shift toward partners, including managed services.
Lumeta also will move beyond the BYOL AWS model to a paid model later this year.
"As the leader in infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) cloud computing, AWS will be a significant distribution channel for Lumeta," she said.
