Howdy, and welcome to this week’s Channel Partner Program Roundup, our far-from-complete collection of all things channel-related. This week we’ve got news from AGT, En Pointe Technologies and SOA Software, so saddle up and let’s start this roundup.
AGT: The service provider of managed and cloud video solutions is working with Pipeline, a cloud-based video conferencing and unified communication provider, to offer Pipeline Video Solutions’ cloud-based videoconferencing solutions, powered by AGT’s video-as-a-service platform. Pipeline plans to sell its new cloud video solutions to the SMB and enterprise markets.
The partnership provides Pipeline the ability to deliver flexible and branded videoconferencing to its existing customer base, extending video from the traditional conference room to video-enabled devices and endpoints in the cloud. Meanwhile, Pipeline’s custom apps are available in the Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) App Store and Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) Play for tablets and smartphones. AGT managed the entire enablement and application process for Pipeline, expanding AGT’s reach to enable service providers that want to protect their customer base by offering turnkey video solutions to meet the growing customer demand of video.
En Pointe: The national IT solutions provider announced it has achieved a Gold Communications Competency in the Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) Partner Network, demonstrating its ability to meet Microsoft customers’ evolving needs in today’s dynamic business environment. To earn a Microsoft gold competency, organizations must complete a rigorous set of tests to prove their level of technology expertise, submit customer references, and demonstrate their commitment to customer satisfaction by participating in an annual survey.
“Achieving the Microsoft Gold Communications competency, coupled with the Microsoft Gold Messaging competency, demonstrates our expertise in delivering best-in-class unified communications solutions to our customers,” said Peter Renner, Microsoft professional services director, En Pointe Technologies. “As an emerging leader in unified communications deployments, we enable our customers to improve their productivity experiences by collaborating, communicating, and connecting to each other securely, no matter their device or location.”
En Pointe offers architecture design, consulting, and deployment services for a number of Microsoft technologies including Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft System Center, Microsoft SharePoint Server, and Microsoft Lync. Additionally, the Gold Communications Competency enables En Pointe to deliver Planning Services Days for its customers.
SOA Software: Speaking of Microsoft certification, SOA Software, provider of enterprise API management and SOA governance solutions, announced that it has been recertified with Gold Independent Software Vendor/Software Competency in the Microsoft Partner Network.
"Microsoft's emphasis on cloud/on-premise hybrids intensifies the need for governance of web services at every phase of the SOA/API lifecycle," said Roberto Medrano, executive vice president of SOA Software. "Organizations that are extending their on-premise Microsoft-based SOA solution into the cloud invariably find that the openness of the cloud creates pressure to control Web services without reducing the agility of the overall system. That's where we can help."
To earn a Microsoft Gold Competency, organizations must complete a rigorous set of tests to prove their level of technology expertise, have the right number of Microsoft Certified Professionals, submit customer references and demonstrate their commitment to customer satisfaction by participating in an annual survey. The Microsoft Gold Competency signifies to the market that a company has demonstrated the highest level of skill and achievement within a given technology specialization.
And that's this week's Channel Partner Program Roundup. Check back next week to see what we've roped. Until then, stay safe.
