Polycom: The video, voice and content collaboration vendor has named Dimension Data as its global System Integration Partner of the Year for its success in delivering collaborative solutions to the company’s ecosystem of enterprise customers, according to the announcement. This marks the fourth consecutive year Dimension Data has received the award.
Polycom and Dimension Data have reported several successful collaborations in the past year, with the companies closing on both a $4 million immersive and infrastructure deal as well as a $12 million Microsoft Lync deployment for a global pharmaceutical company. Dimension Data recently announced the launch of its new Workspaces for Tomorrow initiative that also utilizes Polycom’s technology.
“The needs of the modern workplace are constantly evolving, so it’s critical for Polycom to have partners like Dimension Data who can meet our customers complete business needs with transformative solutions today and into the future,” said Mark Arman, Polycom’s vice president of Worldwide Channels and Global Systems Integrators, in a statement.
TBI: The Chicago-based master agency and third-party technology distributor has appointed Kathyrn Smith national channel manager, tasked with helping the company expand its partner ecosystem. She also will be responsible for working with the company’s current agents to develop strategic business plans to grow new communication and connectivity service revenues, according to the announcement.
Smith was a channel cloud manager at NeoNova Network Services prior to her new appointment, where she worked to manage VAR and CSP relationships and build the company’s dealer partner program. She has held executive channel sales positions with both PowerNet Global Communications and Startec Global Communications, according to the press release.
“We are excited to have Kathryn as part of Team TBI,” said TBI vice president Ken Mercer. “She brings a wealth of channel experience and we believe she can readily assist us in expanding our agency footprint as well as provide support to our existing agent community.”
My Digital Shield: Security-as-a-service provider My Digital Shield recently added several updates and additional services to its channel partner program, including a simplified partner program tiering structure and co-branding options with shieldtest.com. The revised program is expected to help My Digital Shield’s network of channel partners increase their monthly revenue share percentages and provide them with the tools and skills to help sell to the company’s SMB customer base, according to the press release.
“We are pleased with the success of the partner program in recent months and are confident that these updates and new offerings will attract an even wider audience of partners,” said Andrew Bagrin, founder and CEO of My Digital Shield. “Our goal is that existing partners, as well as new, will experience higher revenue share and selling success with these newly implemented tools and features.”
Additional changes to the partner program include mandatory training for all certified-tier partners as well as an updated MDS Cloud-Manager portal with visual and performance enhancements. Partners will also have access to skill-based sales and technical training and co-branded customer data sheets.
