Both ConnectWise and N-able Technologies say they look forward to maintaining a healthy, ongoing relationship with NTRglobal — which ASG Software acquired today. NTRglobal offers cloud-based help desk, remote access and IT service management (ITSM) solutions. ConnectWise and N-able each have had strategic relationships with NTRglobal since at least 2009. Here’s the background.

According to a 2009 announcement, ConnectWise partners can create a Web-based remote connection on a client’s computer, facilitating unattended access and allowing them to view client issues via screen sharing. The Web-based solution leverage’s NTRglobal’s technology.

And in 2011, ConnectWise and NTRglobal unveiled ConnectWise Chat & Remote Control — which offers chat, clientless remote control capabilities and automatic ticket generation within ConnectWise PSA.

Similarly, NTRglobal’s remote control software also integrates with N-able’s N-central software platform. Earlier this week, N-able specifically mentioned NTRglobal as part of a major software upgrade.

Contacted today, both ConnectWise and N-able said their respective relationships with NTRglobal remain business-as-usual with no downside impact.

ASG Software, meanwhile, has been on an acquisition spree in the past year — buying up cloud, eDiscovery, data protection and backup management software companies. For the most part it looks like ASG Software has a traditional, VAR-oriented partner program. MSPmentor is checking to see how ASG Software has been engaging MSPs and cloud services providers.
