Cloud Security Specialist SilverSky Acquires StillSecure Managed Security Practice

Cloud security solutions provider SilverSky (a brand created earlier this year by Perimeter E-Security and USA.NET) has acquired the managed security services division of StillSecure, a Colorado-based MSP of managed security services and certified compliance services. The deal will expand SilverSky’s managed services business.

The new acquisition is only the most recent for SilverSky predecessor Perimeter E-Security, which has used acquisitions to further develop its cloud-based security software platforms. Meanwhile, StillSecure has a rich history in the managed services space in recent years as an early provider of mobile device management services and cloud services.

SilverSky said that it will incorporate StillSecure's log archiving solution and web application firewall service to the SilverSky platform. In addition, it will continue to support StillSecure customers and channel partners and also provide them with full access to its portfolio of software and managed services.

“StillSecure’s world-class team, innovative technologies and services fit perfectly into SilverSky’s portfolio and existing customers of both companies stand to benefit greatly through this acquisition,” said Tim Harvey, CEO, SilverSky, in a prepared statement. “This deal allows us to further realize our strategic objectives for expanding our product portfolio and broadening our domain expertise to further assist our customers and partners.”

SilverSky has 6,000 end-user organization customers in the financial services, retail, healthcare, energy, critical infrastructure and manufacturing sectors.
