Talari Networks: WAN Solutions Target Europe

Talari Networks has just signed a deal with UK-based value-add distributor Zycko to supply their enterprise WAN solution across Europe for the very first time. Here are some quick details.

As we previously reported, Talari’s proprietary Adaptive Private Network (APN) appliance-delivered solutions are aimed at providing MPLS-like functionality over the public Internet with four-nines reliability. They see themselves as a major force of change in the networking market, reducing costs and improving reliability.

For Zycko’s part, the press release indicates that they supply 3,000 resellers on four continents, though this deal only looks to extend to customers in European markets. They already offer other WAN optimization solutions from companies like Riverbed, but Talari’s solution looks to differentiate itself even within that niche.

Having only released their first Mercury APN appliance in the tail end of 2009, Talari is clearly a company hungry to make a major impact in the IT channel. But the jury’s still out on whether VARs will accept their take on networking.
