HP Driving C2, SMB Business Through Channel

Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) now will drive all of its 1,000-seat and higher commercial and SMB sales indirectly through its channel partner ecosystem, the company announced today during the Synnex 2015 Inspire Conference North America in South Carolina.

The shift to a completely indirect model for its 1,000-seat and higher commercial, known colloquially as C2, and SMB sales is the company’s latest effort to win the hearts and minds of its reseller community ahead of the hardware and software giant’s official split next month.

“This is the biggest shift in culture you’ve probably seen from HP in a long time,” said Scott Dunsire, vice president and general manage of HP’s Americas Channel Organization.

Dunsire also discussed some of HP’s other upcoming partner initiatives, including the impending launch of its PartnerReady program, which replaces the current PartnerOne organization.

The VAR Guy has reached out to HP and Synnex for more information on its C2 and SMB announcement.
