OwnBackup, a cloud-to-cloud backup and recovery vendor, has closed a $23.25 million Series C funding round led by Insight Venture Partners and Vertex Ventures.

Existing investors Innovation Endeavors, Oryzn Capital and Saleforce Ventures also participated in the funding round. OwnBackup said it will use the investment to build on its momentum in the Salesforce ecosystem.

Sam Gutmann, OwnBackup’s CEO, tells us his company is “doubling down” on cultivating deeper relationships with Salesforce and other ISV partners. OwnBackup also announced the expansion of its international leadership team and general availability of OwnBackup Archiver, which allows businesses to meet internal and external compliance policies for SaaS data.
